Canadian 1971 R100

Just bought this today:

1971 R100, orignal Canadian car and has been in a restoration since the early 90's. The guy I bought it from has owned it since 1981.

Its still a bit of a project, needs some finishing but very close to being finished.

Couple pics I snapped while I was picking it up today:

Damn Joe! If I had the money and could have sold my Rx-4 I would have bought that last year on you! If you ever want to sell it some day let me know. I'd also like a ride in it when it's on the road.

The car has a new 12a that has been bridge-ported and semi-peripheral ported. The previous owner had Stuart from Can-Jam build it years ago, he also has a Rotary-Engineering intake manifold modified for the semi-PP and ontop that sits 2 Weber 28/36 dcd carbs.

Its a pretty baller setup actually. lol

wow man that Carb setup is outstanding. I have no knowledge on this Weber. Is it a good choice for a 13B?

Had that setup in my RX-2 with a monster street-port 13B and it was FANTASTIC. The power was phenomenal, and the noises it makes at full throttle is like nothing else.
Beautiful car! Can't wait to see more.

Yeah it looks awesome ! You'll love the Rotary Engineering set up ; I have the same and I swap it between my RX7 and RX3. I have a Weber 48IDA which seems to give better mid range but doesn't pull like the twin DCD's do at full throttle. You mentioned semi - peripheral ? It appears this is set up for street or bridgeport .
Keep up the updates....

If I recall right the engine is a full bridge port and semi peripheral port. The intake manifold was modified so that the runners for the peripheral ports go to the secondary throttle plates only. Under normal driving it will just be a bridge port but at full throttle the peripheral ports will kick in. Pretty trick setup. I was impressed when I looked at it.

Should be a blast to drive! Been looking at this setup for quite a while, best of both worlds and performance wise in the top 3

i got my set of dcd carbs in last week for my 13b half-bridge RX-4 build.
Building my own manifold though, calculated to engine specs.

I am really jealous about your velocity stacks, those can't be found anywhere anymore
