74 repu.. sevenstock 14 or bust!
ive owned my repu for 2 years now and i have decided no more bs. this is the year she is gonna make it to sevenstock!! ever since my uncle took me to sevenstock my first year i was hooked! but nothing compares to when i first laid my eyes on that beautiful baby blue repu... first was the jaw drop.. then i couldnt believe that there was actually ROTARY pickup! needless to say, i wanted one right then and there.. but i knew that was gonna have to wait. when i got my 2nd gen i was taking that every year. even got into a magazine. no not featured but coverage pictures by modified mag of a sevenstock on year. but still not satisfied till i have my own repu at sevenstock.
i dont know much about my repu's past. but this is what i do know... 2 years ago, a buddy of mine had discovered this treasure at some persons house in a field of 'junk' cars out in the desert. he had recognized it by the unique 'rotary power' tailgate. i contacted the owner and inquired about the truck. he told me he would only sell it to someone that rebuild it as he didnt have time between his business and family to take care of the truck. he has had many rx7's throughout his years rebuilding them modding them etc.... yet this truck had sat abandoned for 4 years!! i felt like i was being interviewed to have the opportunity to buy his beat on repu lol. but i didnt care, this truck was worth it
the last 2 years ive been just cleaning her up and getting her in some kind of state, more like organizing my plan of attack. i tried to salvage the motor that is in the repu (for now hehe) but something is definatily wrong with it.
lately ive been more involved with my repu... i told myself i wouldnt return to sevenstock unless im in accompaniment with the repu. so... i just happend to find an 86 n/a rx7.... in the junkyard... with 59k on the clock.... and sat probably because the tranny wouldnt shift into 3-5... another mans junk my treasure!!

sounds exactly like my REPU, it was sitting for almost 25 years and had a rebuilt but siezed engine in it. i got the engine running but it intermittently floods severely and runs like pure *** until i do a water treatment then it runs ok for a short period.
for now i just need to get the title sorted out, as the original owner is dead and the bill of sale lost.. hopefully it can all be sorted out before sevenstock this year because i need a truck to haul everything down for the booth. guess i can use shaun's REPU again but i want my REPU to be mine, since i did the work for it in trade but still can't do a damn thing with it, or want to without the title.

it has been a while since my last post and i really havent had much time to do 'big' things. ive painted parts here and there, and have currently been messing with the front cover swap.
i am not sure what to do here. i thought i could get away with mounting the s4 omp onto the repu front cover. when i start looking at the difference in the covers im thinking it will not work so well... pics away....
sorry my pics are HUGE!!!
OK so mainly the my problem is the third pic with the repu gasket on the s4 omp. as the repu's oil pickup is in the s4's groove...
