Help, busted oil cooler hose...
Here's the story. I was driving on the freeway when the oil light and buzzer start going off. I immediately pull over and put a quart of oil in. It looks okay, so I decide to a nearby gas station to get some gas. When filling up, I notice a drip trail of oil leading to my car. I look under and find oil covering the oil cooler lines and around the surrounding area. Whew, I'm just glad I caught this before I drove any further!!
I haven't been able to get a good look at the area yet, but the oil is concentrated around the oil cooler lines. I'm betting that one of the lines or connection to the oil cooler busted. I'd like to know if the oil cooler lines can be replaced without too much trouble and what oil cooler lines I should replace them with; stainless steel or stainless steel with AN? ends. Thanks for any help.

and what conclusion did you come up with? I replaced mine with the OEM lines (I worked at a Mazda Dealer and got a hella deal) but I still had a leak, It turned out to be the big a$$ bollt that is like a 2" sucka was leaking. I couldnt tighten it anymore so I cleaned the hell out of it and JBWelded the Bolt to the Cooler works fine now...
