I found this: http://www.movecars.com/toc/find/index.htm which included these two companies that will haul non-running cars. http://www.movecars.com/toc/find/index.htm#salvage

Let's contact them and see what they can/will do.

OMFG If we had ANYTHING like this senario in New Zealand or Australia these cars would be gone the same day and probably be finished show cars the same year.
If I could id take the lot you really are the luckiest people if this is the calibre of your "wrecks". These cars are not generic Jap crap but decent solid RARE cars that are climbing stupidly in price worldwide.

Hell the other day an original RX-3 Savanna went for US$12000 in Japan @ auction and its being shipped to NZ!! Taillights alone would fetch US$1-2000 on ebay.com.au

Ill take a Capella LHD dashboard or that 1800 sedan to help with a certain ex Canadian LHD 1800 estate knocking around down here!!

These aint Honda Civics peoples rescue rescue rescue

Well, it's been stated before that they won't sell individual cars. Yes, we all know what they're worth (those of us that are on this board), but the rest of the world doesn't care. If it's decided that they won't sell cars but WILL sell parts, then I'd be happy to help fund a trip to go and pull parts. I'm just on the wrong side of the continent.

Not true Crit. They told me $2500 USD for any car on the lot. Some would be worth it, others NO WAY. If I had the space I'd pick the few plumbs that are out there and start parting them out to Australia, but unfortunately I don't have the space on my property.

If buying parts is an option, I will absolutely make a road trip out to AZ to fill my truck.,.

What about setting up one of those epetition things to save the place, or just to organize interest in a big parts saving convoy? Post an ebay auction? Yes, it's totally against the rules, but it would get huge interest very fast...

I have nowhere to store a complete car, but I know people with interest in all sorts of obscure old cars... I'm sure I could get a bunch of people from NorCal to roll out with wrenches...

hey guys based on what y'all have said i did call HVAP back and asked about buying cars......

THIS IS THEIR NEW REPLY............. "we will sell individual cars you need to decide which one it is that you want and make an offer, we will then determine if the paperwork is in order for us to sell that car and let you know if we accept the offer"

So this being said...... let the games begin.....

The light blue REPU is no good since it's had it's subframe chopped off with a cutting torch right about at the motor mounts. The entire front end is GONE. However, they do have a GREEN REPU that is in fairly good condition is (for the most part) is complete!

Nothing has happened that I've heard of. I live 10 miles from the yard and I can't bear to head back out there to see what's being crushed. Xrotaryguy and I did everything we could to make the rotary community aware and get people motivated to action, but it looks like our efforts were mainly for not. Damn shame.

My friend called Hidden Valley this morning and the woman he talked to told him they dont have any Mazdas at all on the lot.

Either they have now been crushed, or the number he called (520-568-2945) now rings to the new location, or she didnt know what the hell she was talking about.

One of my relatives lives about 3 miles from the yard. Spoke with him last weekend and he said that everything East of the main road (which is where all the Imports were) is GONE. Just cubes of crushed metal waiting to be trucked away. RIP old schools!!!
