Thanks!

I didn't even notice myself, lol

But I'd be down for buying a classic car and turning it into a drift racer. Now that would be cool and somewhat inexpensive.

Well I'd help organize. I don't have money but if FCdrifter would hook up a transport, I could keep track of info for him.

The best I can do on transport is call a couple companies that owe me some favors, and see what kinda price I can get on shipping but I dought its gonna be cheap, plus all the cars would have to be delivered to one area to save some cash. Ill call around on monday, but someone needs to stall them on taking the cars to the crusher until i can atleast get a price.

but I am not even sure what kind of price I can get but its gonna be up there. Shipping a single car is like 1200 cross country so Im figuring in fuel, driver pay, cost of the trailer and truck, its probably gonna be alot inless someone knows someone else that knows someone that would do it hella cheap.

I would go for alot of Subaru 360 parts if they had enough to make a complete car. I wish there were some pics of them. Either way, I'll try to tell the 360 club I heard about in Hemmings Sports and Exotic mag.

I found the photos of the Rx-3s/808s. The wagons and the 808 coupes look at least restorable. These photos are a year old.

I'd like to second this sentiment. If I had the money, I'd go down there and buy up enough to do one car.

Btw, that Rx4 station wagon has a complete Ac system Fc Drifter, Im glad to see someone taking some initiative here. The ball may not be rolling fast but its rolling. If we can fill a 13 car trailer with a single destination for you east coast guys and if we can combine that with purchases with people that are more local then the owners of the yard may be willing to be a bit more flexable with their price. I mean if we can offer them 300 each for 25 cars then they might listen. If my feeble math skills serve me right, thats $6500. Thats just an example. Though I'd like the cars to be even cheaper if you east coast guys are going to have to pay too much for a car hauler.

By the way, Tim (RCCAZ1) and I were headed down there to take some pictures but his 91 miata (the reliable car) broke down on the way so we're thinking about perhaps next weekend. Keep the ideas comming guys.

So is anyone gonna jump on this. I just gave suggestions, dunno why everyone thought I had the cash to do it alone. I did contact Maveric trucking, and they dont have car carriers, but they did say that if we could load them(up to 5 cars) the price would vary upon Wieght, mileage, fuel cost and driver fees. Sorry i cant help out more. I will try to call around some more, but I am still not in charge of this I just know how it works. Ill say it agian. If someone (not me) gets this together I would not mind purchasing a car, this will ne my only involvment for this endevor.

Thanks for the follow up. I'll get a list of cars. I'll bear in mind the cars that people on this forum and others have shown interest in. When I get back to you, we'll take a look at who is actually willing to purchase the cars that they wanted. With that number in mind we may be able to get a price from the yard. Then, for you guys that are located back east, we'll get a count for the cars that are going on the truck.

Its just a flat bed and I am having trouble finding a company that has a car carrier. They are all booked up with either Honda in ohio, or toyota in WV. And I am running out of numbers. There may be one on the West Coast but I dont have any contacts out there.

Oh almost forgot. If it does come down to having to use a flatbed, there arnt going to be many cars on it. I would like to see cars that are the best to presever go out. Its at most a 5 or 6 car limit on a 56ft flat bed. And thats not that many.

I have more pictures

Ok here we go. I guess I like about the Subaru 360's. And I did not see any Datsun Roadsters. I am totally shocked at this.

There is a BMW there that I believe is called a 2000 C or CS or CA. I have never seen one before but I have a feeling that it is worth bucks! It has a wooden dash. From what I can find, BMW only made 11,700 of them from like 65 to 69. Car and driver did an article on a car similar to this that is worth something like 50 grand so...

Any way, starting with the old Mazdas

This one is a Mazda 1800. Its an Italian design that Mazda bought the rights to build. They are super rare.

Heres a 7 with a spoiler. Can't seem to find the driver side piece of it though.

This 808 is appears to be in pretty good shape for a junk yard car. If someone is in the market for one then I would suggest this one first. Or maybe I just like lime green paint
