12 rotor engine
Amazing, word from around the net (after searching trying to find a video) is that one is going to be installed in a car. Sorry if I missed it but, what is that thing going to be shoe-horned into?
Sorry haven't been on here in awhile, I've been down in Florida helping some friends get a boat ready for the Miami boat show next week, the 12 rotor will be in Miami at the show next week if any one is in that area and wants to come by.
Hey BYC, any chance of posting the video of the start up again? or maybe a current video either here or on your site? Please update us with the project if at all possible. I'm sure you're one busy man, but any news or updates would be awesome. I still haven't seen the video, but I'm dying to see it.
i don't think there is a car with a big enough engine bay to hold it.. lol
what engine bay? Buy a pickup or a Ford Transit van and lay it in the back
btw these vids I found:

For some reason, BYC's vids just come up with a black screen and a little red YOUTUBE unhappy face. Damic's video links work. Anyone else having the same?
In the runner vid (thanks Damic!) the engine kinda sounds like an old Detroit Diesel 2 stroke. (one of the best sounding engines on the planet, AFAIAC)
Hey, BYC! Way to go on all this stuff!
One question, is the firing order of all 36 combustion faces sequential? Or are any of them firing simultaneously? Maybe it's the manifolding, but I had imagined a much higher frequency exhaust note, much like the difference in sound between a 2 rotor and a 3 or 4 rotor engine. It really does sound low and gutteral, like a 8v71 Detroit. (awesome)

Two rotors fire at the same time, it sounds like it is low rpm because it will idle at 300 rpm. The low pitch of the sound is from the go-pro being in its sealed case. With the go-pro out of the case it just clips the mic because its too loud.
