Exclamation Work/job search networking.

Well I was thinking. We all know each other pretty well here in WA, and they say the best way to get a job is through someone you know. I think a thread where we can post info about work opportunities and people seeking work with specific skills might help out everyone in our community. Especially in the current economic situation our nation is in. So I guess I'll start;
I hate my job. I make great money, but I feel I have capped out growth within my company and my abilities, skills, and time are being wasted here. It's time for me to move on.
If anyone knows of any Management work available let me know. I am currently a Production Manager for 2 of 6 divisions at the largest on location ServiceMaster in the world. In the past 18 months I have grown our business over 20% with a NOI of 18-22%, which is 8-12% above our target. My management skills and experiance have been proven in my past and current employment. I'm looking for work in Production/Project Management. If you know of anything or would like a copy of my resume let me know. You can also e-mail me for business/work related things at adrian.alexandrino@gmail.com
All car stuff e-mail me at hyper4mance2k@yahoo.com

does it matter what type of business it is you would like to manage in. Like IT, retail, sales and so forth. Just think that may help.

Oh good point. I'd like to move out of the service industry. In the past I was in retail and just about 2 years ago moved into the service industry. I'd like to move into IT, but most companies want a degree in computer engineering even for their PM's these days. I really don't care I just want to get out of the Retail and service industries. Looking toward construction mgmt and such.

Lets open this to all NW members.

I myself am looking for a job. For 3 years I was the Network/Systems Administrator for a local Aerospace firm. I handled every aspect of IT for a 50 user system. My experience is in Small and Medium businesses. Before that I spent most my time in Education as IT support/administration. On the side I have consulted for over 8 years for local businesses here in Portland. I have experience in just about anything and am a fast learning troubleshooter that can also provide team mentoring and leadership. Much as I do in our community. I have provided all levels of technical support from helpdesk to top tier. I could fill a post with just equipment and software I have worked with.

I am seeking either a contract or short term job for the next 6 months. I am always accepting side work (IT or FD's ). If you know anyone who is looking for a part time IT person, I might consider it.

Thanks as always guys!

My company is hiring for assistant store managers with the intent of fast tracking new ASMs to the General manager level. It IS retail, but with a solid company operating in the black on earned capital. Its a great stepping stone for a person who wants to move up, but can handle the life of a retail gangster. Ive been with the company for 8 years, and i wouldn't still be working with then if i wasn't happy. PM me for details.

My name is Steve Gambone and due to recent hart problems I'm now in the market for a more laid back slow going job. Old school gives you one good thing and that is it's done when it's done and it it will be rite so don't run the bill up by being on the phone asking when. So yesI think it would be good to have a job page on the forum.

Thank You Steve Gambone

I've been a motorcycle mechanic for 2 years now. Looking to jump to a better shop, or work on cars. I have basic tools, willing to purchase what I need as well. VERY eager to learn new things. I have a background in construction + customer service.

I'll bite, how longs the contract, how indepth is the programming?
What kind of reimbursement is being offered, and is there a chance
of telecommuting available for this position. If not I can take a few
off from "The Real World" to head down for a few weeks/months.

Any chance you can submit some code for review before I thumbs
up / down it Marc? You're coder to proper annotated tagging to
make it easier on "those taking up the slack"? Or will I need to
riddle the suckers out? Hit me back mate.

@ Tim
Will keep an eye out for you Tim, I got a few friends in the biz, I'll
be personally looking for a house/property for a future house here
pre-2011. I could use a good friend who won't screw me outta house
or future home.
