Just moved it around the yard today so I could mow.
A few months back I blew 1/2 the motor. Drove it 10+ miles home on the other half.
I have an 84 GSL-SE that will eventually donate the LSD, rear discs, and 13B.
It'll be a good project for me and my 8 yr-old boy.

Nice lamp! I love it.

I've been driving my SE every chance I can the last few days. Loving it. Went to start up the GS and battery's been drained. It's only been a week and a half since I've driven it. Must have a slow drain somewhere.

Life sure got in the way of working on my car. Yesterday I placed an order for all the random bits I need to get it at least started and running (except for the coolant hoses, which I forgot)...

Brake master cyl, clutch master cyl, clutch slave cyl, clutch hose, all new wheel studs, the exhaust hanger donut I am missing, oil cooler line fittings, a Racing Beat air cleaner, and probably some other stuff I don't remember at the moment.

front lip

was out in the junkyard yesterday looking for cars with front lip that might fit a fc.
Grabbed one off a 90ish ford taurus. flipped it upside down, drilled holes and little work with the heat gun-prob do a little more heat gun work to make it flush-
but for $7 and a little work I dont think it came out too bad

Good Thinking

In a previous life I rebuilt a lot of wrecked RX-7s, before there were lots of parts available in the wrecking yards, and we used to repair some pretty banged up plastic bumpers. Most people don't realize how much you can reshape things with a heat gun.

When I did the engine swap in my FB, I had to make a dropped front crossmember to fit the radiator, and this interfered with the lower valance panel. I did some trimming and heat forming to wrap the valance around the tube as shown in the attached photos.

For people who want a custom look, do what this guy did and spend some time at the local pick-n-pull with a measuring tape. There are a lot of nice plastic bumpers out there that can be adapted to fit your car with a little imagination.

Looks great Ben!

Jesus came by and dropped off some parts (Thank you very much!!!) and when he walked by,
he spotted my battery drain. Ignition switch light at the key. I've got a spare ecu coming, but
just disconnected it for now. I'm not really into opening up an ecu and soldering.

Still looking for a rear bumper cover in good shape, any color, if anyone has one laying around. Also looking for a trashed housing to complete my rotor-clock.

Picked up a new addition to my collection. these are just 1/32 and bigger. This one looks big and takes batteries. Can't wait to see it if powers up

^Nice.

I tapped the 4 holes on the drivers side for my seat and put the leather seat in. Hopefully I'll only take it out one more time; for a new skin and rail.

Been doing a lot to her.

lots of 1:60, a couple 1:100 not any 1:87. I'd really like to get a couple Biante's or AutoArts (1:18)
but they're pretty spendy

Thanks.

Yep for the most part. I have a weird throttle issue, it will bounce when I hold it around 2-3k. I think it's TPS related or something just isn't set right on the tb. I adjusted it to 1ohm and .85ohm.

Then I just need an alignment and put the interior back together and I'll be ready for the wedding.

Replaced a failed rotor. Drives perfect now. Anyone else seen that type of failure?

washed the rx8 took it for a drive, came back,

washed the fc, took it for a drive! and its running like crap! seemed normal driving then got out on the main road to get into it, running lean, and not boosting very well! recharging my palm and going to see if any sensors have gone funky, or maybe the fpr vac line came off or something...

fd wash and drive is put on hold! lol

tried to locate source of water leak passenger side, fail, brake dust on left front wheel so not sure what to do, but did order brake pads, took about an hour to get one of the lock nuts off wheel with the key! put on a new shift ****, topped off the clutch fluid so now that's working...and tightened the alternator pulley and got rid of that annoying squeal.
