Finished the dry sump this morning. Was a great feeling to finally have something so complex work correctly on the first try.
Just finished driving it from Yakima to Seattle and oil pressure was perfect. The adjustable oil pressure on the pump is pretty sweet. Glad I went with the press loc fittings, was 100X easier than doing stainless steel lines.
Few pictures:

The dry sump pan was so shallow it exposed a lot of the flywheel. Was cool to see it spinning. Little video:

I bolted a cover over it to protect it while I went over the pass.

Buffed the hell out of it for five hours, looking nice and shiny again

Well I washed her on Friday, wired up my water temperature gauge, and started to break-in my engine for the first time. Still have some bugs to work out though.......

You can get them at carquest too.
Been awhile since I posted. Today I dropped the gas tank so I can clean it out and maybe get my gas gauge to work. Apparently I had a full tank and didn't even know it. lol. I thought a half at most.
lets see yusterday
installed BHR ignition kit in rx8, replaced taillight gasket, and installed some oem front mud guards.
then in the FD replaced my sway bar bracket, and end links. and installed my new front under tray. pikced up some new tie rod ends and plan to get it aligned soon.
today prolly wash the cars off, and probably wire my wideband into the rtek so i can data log and dial it in better.

Drained and inspected the gas tank. Looks good to me. There was next to no rust or crud. Not gonna bother having it cleaned and coated. Just gonna clean up the outside and give it a coat of paint. Took apart the fuel level sensor and cleaned it up and readjusted it. Now it should work since now I actually get some kind of readings from it instead of nothing, regardless of position. I also replaced the fuel pump with my back-up. Its just temporary until I can get everything sorted out. Tomorrow I'll replace all the rubber fuel lines and reinstall the tank. Maybe I'll be able to get it started.
WOO!!! Everything worked great. Got to drive it further than any of my previous attempts. Filled it with fresh gas and a little 2 stroke. Only had a couple of hick-ups. I think I might have a bad ground in the old fuel pump wiring so tomorrow I'll be making a new one, as well as adjusting the timing and checking/cleaning the plugs. Pulled it out and got it ready to take to work tomorrow. Keeping my fingers crossed that everything goes as planned.
