you have my dream car. ever since i was little I've wanted a FD. now that im older i just want a gutted one for my weekend warrior(even though im lying and i would never drive anything else). lol. i remember the first one i ever saw was in eugene. it was black. i was about 13 or 14 at the time :p

on a side note i did a oil change yayyyyyy. happy 7 is happy. think i have a borderline fouled plug or two. lately its not doing so well on hot / warm starts. flooding a bit. not firing up after the usual 1.5 cranks. could be the second gen plugs, too. i just started running them. time to change! always starts like normal when its cold, though.....

 

i finally got my rebuilt engine back home now i just need motor mounts and a clutch to drop that it back in a still need a stock n370 ecu to start and break-in the engine =)

 

let the girl friend take the car for a day. only comment I got was got sideways on the freeway a few times..........dam need new tires

 

i have tires, come get them lol.

I put stainless steel sponges in my fart cannon today. two things came of this:

my exhaust is very much quiet now, which is good.

turns out my transmission is whining a lot more than i though, which is bad.

..............I need a trans.

i could do it pretty quick also, it's just finding the time and a good trans. there was someone selling some somewhere in WA for pretty cheap, i wonder if I can find the thread....think he had 3 or 4 at 50 dollars each. lol

wasn't today, but i drove from Eugene to Seattle and back this weekend in the fc. longest road trip i've put on her and she did well. needs some lizard skin, but drive fine.

 

Two days ago changed clutch and today I get tare the differential out....... shhhhhh don't tell the wife she still thinks I'm working on the clutch lol!

 

tore off upper intake manifold on fd to fix a fuel leak! leaking fuel line to lower fuel rail. also found a small coolent leak and fixed that as well.

 

Getting the rest of the cage done today. Engine cradle should arrive tomorrow.

 

couple days ago i took her for a quick drive on a back mountain road behind my house. little driftin and otherwise good spirited driving Good news is a friend of mine is now hooked on FBs, he absolutely loved what the car could do. he keeps asking the next time I can take him out in it, lol.
tomorrow im going to put the sun visors back in and the rear interior plastics.

 

Installed a MSD 6AL in her. did a really clean job on the wiring... almost too easy....
