Anyone know the differences between the 85 GSL-SE and GS model transmissions?

 

i don't believe there are any EXCEPT FOR THE RATIO IN 1,2,3, AND 5TH. not much to tell, ut there is a difference.

 

the only diffrences that I know of is the SE has a vent on the side bell housing and some of the bearings in side are diffrent than the GS... if I am wrong on this one please let me know as I may not be remembering correctley...

So 12a tranny's and 13b tranny's are interchangable in 1st gens?

 

only if is a first gen tranny than thay will interchange with no problem..

 

unless you have a 79-80 sa. then the shifters in a screwy posisition, aout 3-4 inches to the front.

 

you are right about that one, I was thinking from 81-85 chasseys..
