street car races

every friday night there r all kinds of street racers racing in kent, i went to it last night and had a blast watching some of the cars trying to shift right, but if u think ur car is fast come out friday nights get on 167 and get off at 180th. turn left and u will see all kinds of cars lots of teenage kids but if u have a fast car u can beat them. hope to see some club members there once i awhile. but becareful the cops do cruise the streets and it is illegal.

If you have a modded FD don't bother going cuz there's nothing worth racing!! Before I even modded my FD I was the fastest car everywhere I went and MOST cars I won't even waste my time on... I'm very selective in my races and only go for someone who's gonna give me a run! I will tell you in all my times down there I only found 1 worthy racer and it was an SRT4 that I beat 3 times! Everyone else who claims to have a FAST car never brings out their cars..... Hmmmm... Also, just a heads up: the Kent cops are ******** and will use any excuse to give you a ticket! I went to a 7 eleven and bought ice cream went outside to eat it in my car and the cops were called on me! Threatened to give me a ticket and said if I came back that weekend I'd have my car impopunded! Don't bother going down it's not that great.......

yea it is fun but the cops are ********.. aslong as you are doing all the right "
"legal" driving they dont have a reason to bust you. but if your ****** around and doing launchings off the stop lights for no reason they will flip the lights on you.
but they watch you like a hawk. once i get my TII swap done and built and tuned right im going to go down there and show some Honda drivers what a real car is like ]hopefully i will have it done by the time summer is over. dont know

Ya really its not worth goiing down there. Kids just got license and dont know how to drive... once your down there watching a race. and then you hear COPS coming then everyone scrambles and you will end up having your car side swipped or hit by one of those kids it happen to a buddy of mine about a year ago...and worst part is what do you tell insurance company you were at illegal drags then your fucked for sure....

How about you just dont street race at all. Hundreds of people are killed each year from this. When will dumb ***** learn that its just not worth risking killing somebody else or themselves just to prove who has a bigger bank account?

If you really have somethin to prove set up a race as pacific or monroe. Its cheap as hell, safe, and you get multiple LEGAL runs.

The Kent scene is extremely ghetto... Just a bunch of thugs with stolen Honda's. Occasionally you'll see some cool cars, meet some cool people, or have some good races--but it's mostly just a bunch of dangerous BS.

My friends have seen someone get shot down there a few years ago, and last year my buddies car got totalled by some tubo'd s14 that was showing off. The guy was ripping, looked up and saw my buddies car, SLAMMED on his brakes (skidded for almost 100 feet) before SMASHING into the back of my buddies show-quality VW Rabbit, which then proceeded to smash into a crowd of people (people flipped onto the hood of the Rabbit etc.). So yeah, not good times. Oh, and then when my buddy freaked out--the guy threatened to kill him before driving off--hit and run style.

Any ledges?

I used to be down for stairs/gaps and some rails, but I've really just been skating parks and smaller obstacles for the past few years. Ya' know, safe and tech... Flip-tricks, ledges, hips, manuals etc.

(BTW, I responded under ecyrb | SLC's name).

But yeah, I kind of doubt that I'll ever really street-skate again. I know Seattle's got some spots, but it's too much effort and you've gotta be too into the whole urban skate-scene to really know where the good spots are.

MS pilchuck has the forum or something like that i think, basically a huge 3 (i think). erik: did you go to EWHS?

anyways i don't see how people will drive from everett to kent, but folks don't wanna drive to SP. River road is the only good spot in everett.

Yeah twilight, I went to EWHS--graduated in '02. And notveryhappyjack, I've been skating since 8th grade, or... 9 years? I've been to Shoreline a bunch, however my heart will always be with Lyndale, my old stomping ground. I used to be flow/am for a few companies.

naw there's no ledges there, i think. it's hard to find good ledges that aren't skate stopped, like in the choc. vid they were skating this yellow metal ledge, it was here in beaverton(part of portland)after that vid came out the company put gravel all over the place then welded piees of metal to it, ******* gay

Seriously...

There are only a few places that I know of that have good (street) ledges, but you can really only 'slide' them, as opposed to grinding them. The bikers have gotten to 'em.

NOT FOR ME lol i live in marysville, that would be sweet if there was then i would havnt to waste half a tank + if they were up here lol

SP. River road is the only good spot in everett.
you would have to have the right timing because cops go through there from evertt to snohomish.. you have to know the exact shift change times an race then for like 30-45 minutes then bounz.. if people already havnt called em in.
but for a few races if someone has a police scanner. and could here when calls come in and stuff.. it would be good for a few races.
