Exclamation Saturday night meets - Auburn, WA

Thought I would drop a line in the NW RX-7 regional forum, and let you all know that on Saturday's myself and a few fellow import enthusiests will be hosting an organized meet at the Top Food and Drug in Auburn.

We welcome everyone, but ask that you be courteous to the property owners and abide by the basic laws of the land. We've had too many negative experiences in the past with people not following the rules, so a few rules are enforced to keep the asshatery to an all time low. Violate the rules, and you'll be asked to leave.

Who/what/where/when?

Who's comin out there?: MATURE and Responsible Import Tuner enthusiests (domestics welcome!) willing to have fun, and share a laugh or two.

What the heck is this meet for?
The meet was put together by Project Alpha Productions and 07blueWRX from Nasioc.com - to promote local import performance, and keep the streets safe from illegal street racing.

When is this schindig going down?
TIME: EVERY SATURDAY NIGHT - the meet starts at 7:00pm, and ends when the last person leaves - Top-Foods is open 24 hours!

Where is it happening and how do I get there?
LOCATION: Auburn Top Food and Drug, the directions are on the webpage!

We've done our best at holding the meet location in Tacoma (namely Krispy Kream - ), but there are entirely too many idiots, ricers, cops, etc. to deal with, even on a good night...

Even when we coordinated with Krispy Kream and the Tacoma Police department, there were still incidents that occurred that forced us off the premesis.

So now, thanks to local authorities, as well as the Management of the Top Foods in Auburn, we now have a location that will be open 24 hours and grant us access for as long as we want for our local tuner meet needs.

As long as you're not an asshat, or a person that loves to crash a party - then bring the Rotary down and enjoy tuners from accross the NW.

honestly - we've had cars that were riced out drive through the parking lot, offer to race random people, only to get either scoffed at, laughed at, or asked to leave before we call security...

This has always been a heated debate when it comes to meets, but the way I see it, and many other people see it as well - if you drive something that has a concensus of being off the wall in a bad way, regardless of if it's riced out or not, you're going to hear about it - and not in a good way.

The parking lot we park at is taped off for us except for one entrance area - Once we get over 100 cars during the spring/summer time, the taped off area will be expanded out.

In lamens terms - you bring what you brought, if it looks like ***, then be prepared to get flamed by the numerous forum members that will be present there...

On the other side of things - keep things professional - let us take care of the cars that look like a sore thumb - We're not judgmental, but we are very good judges of character. giving someone the boot is never fun, but to keep the masses at bay, then we do what is necessary. if that cant be accomplished, then local authorities are called in to take care of the problem.

Hit me via PM or Email for more info or if you have a few suggestions.

It sounds like a good idea you guys have with a message to hopefully help kids understand to be a little more responsible, and heck...maybe it will even save a life or two out on on a Saturday night.
I've seen the illegal racing scene on weekends- There is some really crazy crap going on and although I shun most big group gatherings, I'm interested to stop by and see how mature and import meet can mix on a Saturday night.
I'm not sure how well you've categorized asshats, but I'm hoping it will exclude the loud fartcan wanna ricers that give imports a bad rap all over the place.

Good Luck!

^^^ as said above - a general concensus rules the day -

That will be the day when a riced out car parks in the roped off area - Not to show a sort of exclusivicity, but ay, take that stuff elsewhere.

Every single time - and this occurred quite a few times... we had hondas that were modded in very poor taste, and what looked like out of lack of budget body work or chopshop springs and such... they skirted through the parking lot, received looks from 40 or so evo/sti/supra/rx-8/etc owners... and kept moving on...

this isnt a racing meet, and we dont plan on breaking any laws - they get the drift fast - If they would like to attend the meet, then maybe they should get out of the pithole of the racing scene that is giving us a bad rap...

Thanks for the support dweller - come on down, I'll have some hot coffee waiting for ya!

If you DO know someone who DOES have a very clean honda - and there are quite a few out there that dont sound or look like ***, then by all means have them come on down.
