Well being stupid the other day and got myself a reckless driving tickett from a kirkland cop. Now I need a lawyer. Anyone have a good lawyer that I could talk to, I have a court date on the 18th so I need to get this done asap. Thanks -aaron

If Doug Silva isn't available you can check the King County Bar Association for referrals as well. I can't remember the website address but if you do a search for King County. . . you will find it. There is a search function where you can specify what area of law you need.

I've used here many of times, she's very good IMO. My record is not great by any means and she still is able to dissmiss some and plea others down to minor charges. Although she can only do soo much (due to my record) sometimes and you just get the book thrown at you.

Thanks guys, I have found a lawyer that my friend has used a few times he has gotten five speeding tickets thrown out and a few other taken down to minor charges which is prolly the best I can hope for in my situation.

I would rather not tell what I was doing until something happends with the charge but in a few words I was showing off for a girl who was riding with me and the cop was jelous of my driving skillz haha. Yes I'm 20 and very dumb but I don't wanna lose my license until I'm 22 over this which is a very real posibility.

Basically the kirkland PD is cracking way down on anything driving related, the lawyer I'm using told me that he does at least five recklesses a month through the Kirkland courthouse which is insane ammout for just one person so you can imagine how many people are getting these and other sorts of tickets, so if you want to do anything dumb in kirkland think twice, if you get pulled you will get the most extreme ticket the power tripping cop could give you. The cop told me I was lucky he didn't impound my car and take me straight to jail which is complete bullshit for what I was doing imo but whatever, take my word for it drive like a grandmother in any part of kirkland cause there are a ton of cops watching the streets with nothing to do.

Kirkland cops are different, sorry to hear about that man. I say this becuase i know most Kirkland cops are *** holes and Kirkland in general is naziville.

2 of my friends got one for doing doughnuts in the school parking lot at Lake Washington Tech College. All they had to do was take a driving school course. They got off easy for having a good laywer. Plus I herd the guy teaching was an *** hole. Good luck man.

I've had my bout with PD's everywhere, but never a wreckless... Since I got my FD I always get off cuz they give me total respect =) I love it, although it is weird when all the COP wants to do is talk about my car......... haha

A little girl was ran over and killed right in front of my Dads house in Kirkland.

That said, yeah, Kirkland cops are a little extreme, I got picked up on a warrant at 9am on a Sunday morning for a no-show in court that I didnt even know I needed to be to from a speeding ticket I had gotten 6mo prior. That was a fun afternoon in jail :/

On the flip side, I got pulled for a suspended license by a Kirkland cop, and she just told me to go home, and get it figured out in the morning (was 2am when I got pulled).

 

one of my buddies got a second degree negligence for driving while our other buddy had gotton out of the car and was riding on the windshield. the guy riding on the windshield got a no seat belt ticket. hella funnny though, they where doing about 30 -35 going up a hill and as soon as they crested the cop was oncoming. they said he looked shocked. ive only had a couple tickets myself, none for speeding but one was a no insurance from a redmond po. sorry to hear about the ticket, hope it gets dropped

 

haha reckless is all i ever get caught for, no speeding tix, or anyhting....

well i allegedly got a speeding tix in milton but that was thrown out...


matt got arrested for a warent on XMAS night in kent !! talk about retarded, it was a BS warent too that got thrown out lucky tho . i hate kent!!!
