Hit and Run
Just thought I'd post this up here in case anyone manages to see her. Yesterday around noon my girlfriend got backed into in the parking lot of Safeway in Duvall. She dented up the rear passenger fender on the car, and has white paint transfer on the drivers side of the rear bumper. The car was an Acura TL, 2006-2008 year I believe (the one with the tail lights with the two white strips). Dark blue in color. The woman got my girlfriends info, but refused to give her own. I don't know the license plate number. The police already have a hit and run report out for this woman. She told my girlfriend she was going to get a quote from a body shop in Carnation and tell us how much it will cost to fix *her* car. The cops pretty much agreed with me if you back into somebody, no matter the situation it's your fault. So if any of you are in the Duvall, Carnation or Monroe area and see a blue Acura TL, fairly new with white paint transfer on the bumper, please get the license plate number and let me know. Also, this car was driven by a hispanic lady, mid thirties with a strong accent. I figured anyone shopping at the Duvall Safeway, and going to a bodyshop in Carnation has got to live out there, otherwise there is no reason to go out that far from Redmond or elsewhere.

Awesome thanks. I'm making a trip out to Carnation tonight. Going to get the phone numbers of every body shop in Carnation. I can't imagine there can be too many of them. Then I'll call them all up and inform them that a Blue Acura TL was involved in a hit and run and give the police report number for them to report anything.

My girlfriend tried to give me the plate number. She had nothing to write it down with, and I wasn't answering my phone (morning meetings). By the time she got ahold of me she couldn't remember it. It's just one of those things. Oh well. Hit and run is already filed with the police, I did that immediately.

police aint going to do jack **** if you dont remember plate numbers. talking from my own experience here. file a claim with your insurance company, they will sort this out faster than any police.
even if you track down that lady (i highly doubt it will happen) she can just say "it wasnt me", where are the witnesses? where is evidence that it was her. how many ladies drive dark blue Acura TLs? thousands, tens of thousands?
File an insurance claim.

Do you have full coverage? If you file a police report then your insurance company should fix the damage without any cost to you other than a deductible. When I was in High school I got Rear-ended by my chemistry teacher. Yes my own teacher, and then he did not have insurance! I had only been driving for a month and had no idea what to do, I got his phone number and license number then went home. Our insurance would not do anything about it because we did not file a police report. So after filing the report (another long story) they repaired the damage to my car. I don't know if my expierence helps you any but it should be the same thing as a hit and run. The insurance was a real hassle but in the end everything seemed to work out alright. Good luck catching her!!

>.> Well, on the plus side we gave a good description of her to the police. She's actually the only Mexican woman I have ever seen in Duvall, so meh. Pulling the stolen card might be a bit difficult for her.

UPDATE!
Been a while since I've had any update regarding this situation. About an hour ago she showed up at my girlfriends work place. There is still white paint transfer on her bumper and the cops now have her liscense plate number. I guess that ends this fiasco. She's pretty much screwed. Now hopefully I'll get the money to repair my RX-7 by the international meet so my girlfriend can come in that car as well.
