I think that guy's name is Jeff he's from around the lynnwood area I think and I know the guy who put that engine in that car too names Gleb local drifter......IMO thats better than putting a freakin ls1 or whatever other crap in a rx7 atleast its still a jap motor lol!! but I would not do that to a 7 I respect it enough to just leave it alone with what the car originally came with.

Bingo. If I were ever compelled to put a piston engine in an RX-7 an SR20DET seems like a good choice [from what I know it'd be lighter and much cheaper than doing an RB26DETT]. Does anyone know how much the SR20 weighs compared with an S4 13B? or 13BT? [I assume the balance will still be off because of the added length, but would it be fairly close?]

At a autoshow in tokyo like 3 years ago i saw a group of FDs with SR20s and RB26s sitting in them. From what i remember one of the guys said that the off balance isn't noticeable. But one guy with the RB said his FD likes to (plunge?) when hes taking hard corners.

If I would put a piston engine in mine I would have to put an LS1 in it especially for drifting.

If I was gonna put in a piston motor it would be a turbocharged 1300cc Suzuki Hiyabusa motor cuz it's the same damn size and also has no limit to it's rpm capabilities.
