bad news
I have a 1990 GTu that I had a new factory engine installed 34,000 miles ago. It just backfired and now only runs on one rotor. The dealer says he cannot rebuild the engine and that the car is scrap and I should buy a new one. Is this car a lost cause? It has new paint, good tires, and I bought it new. Hate to let it go. Does anyone rebuild these? I am in southern Oregon. thart

Selling
Yeah don't sell it unless you really have to. Getting a new motor isn't too bad of a fate, especally for such a beautiful car. Besides Tim 'the tool man' Taylor demands that you car make MORE POWER.

My friend at work has a salvage license (http://www.copart.com/) and we were bidding on a S5 na at the Pasco aution, with body it wasn't too bad but the insurance must have totaled it. We were outbid by someone in Boise...........for just over $2000. Thats for a "totaled S5".
