Question Any skilled S4 mechanics want some extra dough?

I say S4 only because I've pretty much transplanted a S4/S5 N/A in my car and the thing wont idle right. I've got at '84 GSLSE with a S4 housing/cast irons with S5 rotors. Running the S4 intake manifold and have done everything Rotary Ressurection has said to do for this intake conversion. Its gotta be a vaccuum leak. Either after my AFM or my upper to lower manifold gasket (new but had to take off the upper about 6 times)....

Anyone want to work for some GOOD money?
Bremerton area

id like to help you out, but I dont have a way to get up there. I have a few suggestions though.

First of all, did you use all NEW vacuum lines when you put the engine in? Second of all CHECK FOR CODES!!
im assuming your using a S4 ecu right, the s4 and up (I forget weither or not the GSL-SE ECU you can pull codes from) have some limited self checking funtions. If you need more info or how to make the code checker, shoot me a PM.

I've seen a few times where some fokes didn't get the rite connector on the rite nozzle, it will show up in the igntion scope pattern, one rotor will show a rich fireing line and the other will show a lean firing line, take some carb cleaner and spary it all around the gasket, vac hoses, if the motor picks up that your vac leak, also you what to to do a fuel pump ramp, this will give lots of info, like if the pump is serging which a fuel persser gauge won't show, then there's the engine coolent temp sensor for the PCM, I think I got a short job line up with Foxs Auto repair, they got a 87 base modle that runs real poor, 40$@hr stright time for ever how long it takes. So any how the list goes on, I wish there was more room at Bob's place, for like two cars, get rid of all that stuff in the center of the floor and I think a long term car could fit, You know he's going to read this now and confront me with it

Well I need to take care of the TB to AFM hose. I still have to use the S3 afm which is 2.5" and my S4 TB is 3.5". I got the hose pretty well sealed but i think I need to just take it down to the local muffler shop and have them custom make me an intake.

Second once in a while when I adjust my TPS with the two lights. Sometimes they dont even light up. If I take their ground out of the socket and ground it manually they light. Now I'm still getting feedback from the TPS at its connector and line back to the computer. The TPS check point has seperate lines independent from the TPS itself.

Kompressor logic and hornbm you are MORE THAN WELCOME to come to Bremerton and work for some cash and prob pizza. I have had little time lately and I WANT MY 7 BACK!

You did a S4 conversion too? Mike Landers said plug off all vacuum lines on the UIM and T the 2 vac advance lines, the fuel pressure regulator and hook it up to the nipple above what was the ACV valve on the outside of the LIM. Supposed to block off the BACV valve all together. I recently found a leak on the connection on the back of the AFM and a broken intake temp sensor on the back of the intake plenum. Have to go to a junkyard tomorrow to pick up another. We'll see where this goes.

I'm almost to the point of just switching back to the S3 intake but keep on saying no way cuz this converison has been done before, I'm doing something wrong.

What's your symptoms?
