Talking 6 port swap ...

so over the last couple of days of last week i did ALOT of driving to retrieve parts that im gathering to get the motor changed in my car. I went down past albany to get a really good condition 6 port, and picked that up (1990 s5 6 port) a starter, an s4 na tranny (has the .69 5th gear for getting better highway mileage) and one tokico blue rear shock, all for $350. then on friday i went up to kent from portland, (179 miles one way) and picked up that 6 port 4 barrel manifold, the holley carb that was on it, and the velocity stack and HUGE K&N air filter, got all that for $351. i have a CLEAN resurfaced flywheel and a 4 puck sprung clutch disc waiting in the garage, and a race pressure plate coming from the bargain bin at racing beat. so for a grand total of $803 plus the shipping cost of the pressure plate, im going to get a complete drivetrain swap in my car. I should also mention that my current setup is the original 12a with almost 195k on the clock (1980 gs, 85 gsl se running gear, s4 na tranny, un-tuned carter 500 4 barrel and a racing beat 12a intake manifold) and i got 27 mpg on the seattle run. 358 miles on a single tank, and enough left to putz around for the rest of the day... just thought i would lay all that out there...
