Question wont hold idle

alright here is the problem . my car driving fine when im driving . but when i stop the car dosnt want to hold idle and just dies out . this problem just started happening.....now before it was driving good but then my trany locked up in reverse some how and once i got my car back form the shop thats when it started doing this so anyone have any ideas of whats going on.

When is the last time you tuned the car up? New plugs, wires, filters? Including the fuel filter?
Could also be a air leak.

sounds like the shop that worked on your tranny may have broken a vacuume line off the back of the intake. Was the tranny removed? If it was I'd look over all the vacuume lines that are anywhere near the tranny bolts. Like Hanman mentioned it sounds like an air leak. good luck

Likely a vacuum leak.
