Wondering about ceramic coating on exhaust manifold

I'm currently rebuilding a BP26 for my fake JDM Familia and was wondering about having the exhaust manifold ceramic coated. It makes sense to me in so far as it directs more heat/energy through the turbo, but am wondering if real world application shows any improvement in HP or torque? Does anyone have any experience with this type of mod?

I doubt you would honestly be able to tell any performance difference. Practically I think it would reduce radiant heat to the engine bay and any surrounding plastics, solenoids etc. Secondarily there'd be the improved look/cosmetics.

From a search in the 3rd Gen. Section only:

i have no experience using a ceramic coating yet, but as i understand it, the simple answer is no. it wouldn't affect actual output. it is meant mainly to affect spool, efficiency (to a degree) and reliability (lower radiant heat).

I was reading another thread about coating the inside of an exhaust manifold and was kind of struck by the simple elegance of the idea. Not that I would ever do that, but I gotta respect someone that would. I love car forums

I think a lot of these mods are only noticeable under extreme, race like conditions. Ceramic coating, turbo blankets, FMIC scoops, ect. aren't going to be noticed as much on a daily driver. I do like the reliability aspect though, and of course there's always swag.

Edit-If I was made of money and could be as OCD as I liked, my engine would probably look like a gleaming quartz crystal. Meh.
