When is the fuel pump suppose to run on these cars?
I am a major Mitsubishi Eclipse guy and on the DSMs(Eagle Talons, Mitsubishi Eclipses, Plymouth Lasers) the fuel pump turns on when the key is in the on position. My 1997.RX 7 does not unless its cranking over and it does not prime at all. So basically if the key isnt cranking then the fuel pump will not turn on. I dont know if thats a factory thing or if somethings going on. Question number 2 is there a fitting I can hook up my fuel pressure tool gauge? On the Eclipses its on the fuel rail. Last question is the fuel rail on the side where the spark plugs are at? I have a right hand drive so be careful using driver and passenger side guys. Car is not running for some reason and it ran last year trying to figure it out car is getting spark for a fact using my spark wire light tool and the car is cranking over great and it does have fuel.
Dom... just get jessie to handle it for you. He's the mad scientist for a reason.
key on, pump primes. Everytime.
fuel pressure tester goes inline with the feed line
Fuel railS are on the turbo side
