It's a loaded question.
Tire size and wheel size dictate what offset you can properly run on the car too.
The stock offset is 40mm on an Fc with 15 inch stock wheels and manufacturer's recommended tire size.
You can go wider but you have to consider rubbing on both inner and outer surfaces...Higher makes the car look goofy.
Check out the wheel fitment section and get some ideas as to what you think you may want. That always helps.
You can put 17's on that are really the same size overall as stock 15's..just depends on what height and width of tire that you install.
Personally a Cheap alternative on an FC COUPE is the BBS style Mazda Convertable wheels.
15X6.5 with a 40 offset and as light as a fluffy cloud in a morning breeze..!
You sneeze on one of those things and they roll away!..(13 pounds a piece!)

Mustang GT wheels are also really nice and cheap options.
17x8+35 and fit like a dream
the '99 5 spokes are 17lbs each
and the super rad advan knockoff split 3-spoke '95 wheels are 20lbs each.
I bought a set of the 5 spokes for $50 off CL for just the wheels
and 2 sets of the 3 spokes for $100/set with tires.
11/10 would recommend and look great.
