What should I upgrade on my '88 turbo II?

First off, I'd like to say I'm a new member to not only this forum but forums in general lol. I have been around vehicles and have done minor maintenance work but other than that I'm a noob. I've done tons of poking and prodding on forums, youtube, and blogs to understand the basics but that in turn brings me with millions of questions.

Also, I understand this question is very subjective to many things but I'll give the gist of what I'm shooting for.

I am in a very unique situation where I'm am able to trade labor in return for a super clean '88 turbo II. The engine and trans are in but the rest still has to be put together. All of the interior also has to be put back in but I'm pretty sure all of it is there aside from door panels.

Existing work:
• bonsai racing streetport
• ORC single plate clutch

Stuff I know needs to be replaced:
• Injectors
• Fuel pump
• Intake
• Exhaust

After all of that I will say my goal is to have a daily drifter. I want something that will be reliable for me to daily to and from work and whatever else my heart desires while also doing skids lol. I would like to do all of this cost effectively but I wont skimp if I shouldn't. This all goes back to my title, which is: What should I upgrade on my '88 turbo II? It may be a lot to ask but I think its attainable and I'm looking forward to any and all input. Thanks for the time

ps pics are soon to follow

Daily drifter.
T2 fc does that pretty well. The upgrades are endless really. What's needed is a car that is mechanically correct and well maintained, a proper tune with data monitoring and driver/owner that takes care of the car.

When starting from stock, fuel and cooling system in the engine bay. Tune and monitoring inside. Stiffer shocks, spring, sways and bushings outside. And a redline a day. Or several. Good times.

Never tried it, but I’m not seeing even occasional drifting and daily driver working. Especially since you’re not really experienced with a wrench or a rotary. I recommend you get it running and pick one, or the next owner will be buying the car disassembled as well.

On a rotary...and especially a turbo rotary everything starts with cooling.

Anything and everything cooling related first, then suspension, IMO.

id say upgrade the oil cooler and oil cooler lines. get yourself a sandwich plate to monitor the oil temps, racing beat makes one. sandwich plate should be a simple little install. upgrade that radiator if its stock. all of those things are going to cost you. a little pleasure mod id look into is a exhaust. nothing will motivate you more than hearing the wonderful sounds your motor makes.
Good luck
