Coolant temp sensor. You can buy a new one (should come with the brass crush washer) from dealer or mazdatrix.com

Side note: The weird looking mushroom shaped (kinda) thing next to it is your oil pressure sensor. Just an FYI

That looks like coolant to me. Are you sure you don't have two separate leaks that are pooling there?

+1 on replacing coolant temp sensor. Use teflon tape.

thats a possiblity. ill pull both sensors and stick some teflon tape on them and see if that fixes the problem. idk i just hope its nothing to major. hopefully the tape will fix it

If you're leaking coolant, the coolant temp sensor is leaking.

If you're leaking oil, the oil pressure sender is leaking.

Oil leaks could also be the o-rings from the filter pedestal.

Don't use Teflon tape on the coolant temp sender. Use pipe dope. Teflon tape can insulate the threads and make the gauge act wonky.

fyi. the easiest way i found to remove the coolant temp sensor was to first remove the oil pressure sensor using a 14mm end wrench. then take a 12mm deep socket with an extension to remove the coolant temp sensor. worked out to be fairly easy.
