Warning sounds like morse code
Hi , my 1994 UK RHD car is at auto electrican - airbag light has been on for some time (couple of years) , one horn push wasn't working . On driving over there an alert sound started - initially intermittent and just when revving but became constant . They found air bag control box capacitors to be leaking and replaced them . Then lighting control box had same problem . Coolant light came on and the system had to be overfilled to switch it off . There is still an alert sound which sounds like morse code . they will slowly work through everything but has anyone had similar probs/ know what this alert means ?

Update : the electrician is working with a US wiring diagram which is different to uK . He has had to cut a brown wire with 2 silver dots to CPU 2 to stop the alert sound . Does anyone have UK wiring diagram please ?

The Au and UK cars were specced very similar and wiring may not be reflected in the Japanese cars. The brown wire "with silver dots", sounds like the paint you find on some of them.
If it's the same as the following year, a brown wire at position 1L in the 20 position connector T-01 leads to the troublesome speedo cpu, which might be your issue. There is also a brown/yellow stripe wire at 1G for the hood switch, but that would be a long shot.

Assume that's something to do with the OEM alarm for the cars sold here.....and probably in the UK too?
