i was wondering if i can remove the vacuum line from my engine without having to put a computer tune in. i was also wanted to know what i would have to do to remove the power steering from my car, its a 90 rx7 with a 6-port 13b.

If you mean vacuum lines, no you can't just start removing them. Look up emissions removal to find out what needs to stay, and what you don't necessarily need. Removing the power steering is as simple as tracking down a manual steering rack (and the related mounts as the 'thin' mount IS differant than the power rack's mount), unbolting it and the tie rods from the car (you may want to also remove the radiator as it will be in the way, same with the sway bar), unhook the lines and pull free. Then you can remove the powersteering pump and install the manual rack same way the old unit came out.

Edit: The tie rods are differant between the manual rack and power rack, so be sure you get the proper set before installing.

Removing the vac lines on a S5 engine is a tricky subject. Removing emissions on a 86-88 is simple as the 5th and 6th ports are actuated via the exhaust back pressure, meaning one could remove all but 4 vac lines and use block of plates for the removed parts and all would be fine. However, the 89-91 5th and 6th ports are actuated via the airpump and some solenoids, and the VDI is also actuated by solenoids and more vac lines, making it a tricky mess to navigate and to work properly (possibly a writeup but not entirely sure as I have most of my expertise in 86-88's). Also, removing some equipment on the S5 engines may make them run in limp mode, meaning less power (limp mode is most commonly triggered by removing the electric OMP, however more things can trigger it).

or you can just depower your steering rack, this way you keep the better lock to lock of the p/s rack. it is easy to do, just do a search there is a lot out there about it

Overall from left to right at full lock the ps rack does allow a smaller turning radius, if this is what you mean. However, it is much more difficult to use and not really the best idea if you intend on spending much time on the track.
