MA 20b Idle?

Okay, so I've been looking at some videos just peeping peoples setups seeing what seems to work well as far as mods.

I am noticing that quite a few of the cars have a real choppy, nasty sounding idle. It sounds great to me, but what causes that?

Also, as a side note... can someone link me to some reputable parts stores that are going to sell 20b manifolds and swap parts? I am looking around but it's like a blind man trying to find a needle in a haystack still for me since I don't know jack sh** about these cars or where to find parts!

Thanks Guys!

An aggressive port job. You will not find 20b intake manifolds sold anywhere (there are however exhaust manifolds I know of, prepare to hold on to your heart when you see the prices). The intake manifolds come with the engine, anything different will be custom made. When you are planning to put a 20b engine in a car, mostly everything will be custom tailored.

Check racingbeat.com and mazdatrix.com, banzai-racing.com. I doubt you will find much but those are the only placing I can think that will sell anything for it.

As mentioned earlier, typically a aggressive port like a bridge or Peripheral port will idle rough. If you are looking for Intake manifolds, stainless headers, and 20b conversion kits we manufacture and sell all those. To give you a rough idea of some things we build here is a example- https://www.rx7club.com/build-threads-292/non-turbo-428rwhp-fd-build-up-history-937570/
Send me a PM if you have any questions

thank you sir! MUCH appreciated... I was beginning to kinda put 2 and 2 together with the idle and bridge porting and such but I still have yet to understand how they affect performance too... tons of reading and question asking ahead of me... but how else do you learn?

Our aggressive streetport 20B idles at a smooth 850rpm. At the bottom of this page are a bunch of different vids of the car running and idling http://www.banzai-racing.com/20B_eng...transition.htm
