Either your door is not fully closed or the switch is not working properly.

Switch is fine. I can hear a hiss from behind the logicon every time it goes on and off. (Blinks about the same speed as the turn signals as a reference

Do you have your overhead light (the one by the rearview mirror) set up such that when the door is open that the light turns on, and if so, does that light flicker as well? If it's geared up to turn on w/the door open and the light does not flicker then you might have a cold solder joint at the idiot lights unit. The connector FI-01, which mates the Front harness w/the Instrument harness, might be faulty and not a solid connection as well.

Did you check the Room fuse as it powers the interior courtesy lights? And when you say "interior lights" are you referring to just the courtesy lights or other lights like the dash lights?

And how did you fix your problem? Chances are you will not be the only person who has these problems so when something is fixed it is also important to share w/the community how the problem was made to be a thing of the past.

10 amp fuse that protects the interior courtesy lights blew. I think one of wires on the ignition switch shorted on the steering collum durring removal.

Make sure to check the ground on the switch as well. a bad ground is usually the cause for intermitent issues.
