It's actually a decent setup if you fix the pulley problem and get professional help like you did. The nice thing about a centrifugal supercharger is that the boost rises with the engine rpm, so unlike a large turbocharger the boost doesn't come on suddenly like a freight train and screw up your cornering or launch you into a telephone pole.

LOL, I fully admit to my financial advisor that my RX-7s are my only stupid waste of money. Otherwise I am pretty sensible and practical.

A supercharger is really nice for every driving , but you really need to find the right Kit , spend a bit of time on it and you well find the right one keep it real .

The original Atkins / Camden fuel injected supercharger kit was just way too rough... at it's introduction it was priced ok but quickly went up to a price that just didn't make sense... it was above t2 swap territory and came with no fuel/ignition management other than a rising rate regulator.

after dozens of people gave up with the kit, or bad things happened, Camden finally redid the kit with a microtech ltx10s and a full fuel system, but for $5500 I think theres still much better options.

My brother had the early camden kit and as shiftnmadkwik put it nicely it was more than a little rough. He went the TII swap after selling the supercharged engine.

[QUOTE=Evil Aviator;11356542]Blowers are typically the least efficient of the different types of superchargers. I would like to see somebody try one of the new thermally-efficient Eaton TVS blowers on an RX-7, but so far I am not aware of any such project

I actually purchased a H TVS 2300 several years ago.H is for harrop engineering (australia) -packaged by Harrop with eaton internals.THis was a project with several people contributeingwhich has resulted in the project not being finished.Inlet manifold started out as a j&w 4 barrell modified to accept the blower and allow the internal part throttle bypass to work.
Other mods were to include bridgeporting,a bearingin the front cover to support e- shaft- yes can be done i know people doing this 25 years ago
I hope one day this will be completed

That sounds like a really interesting project. Please post on this forum when you get it running.
