Sound System & Alt Question
I'm not the best with electronics so please dont mind the noobness. I have a S4 FC ('87 GXL) and I know the alternator is rated for 70amps if I'm not mistaken and I was wondering, I want to put a small 10in speaker with a decent amp to go with it. Would I run into any issues with the alternator being overworked or anything ?

Well,I wouldn't want to over work the alternator. It's small enough as it is.
The Fd alt will hook up to the engine just fine. You need a pigtail for the Fd alt and can either hardwire that to the harness or Spade connect it to the old clip.(one wire),The other wire goes loops up to the B+ and that is about that.Hook up B+ and throw the belt on,adjust and run.
Simple,easy..I covert all my cars to Fd alts as soon as I get them.
Look up FD alt on an FC,it should have info in the Sec Gen Specific or Archives.
