hey guys,
my shift light comes on at around 4000 rpm and buzzes. i dont know if the buzzing is factory. but how would i adjust the shift light to come on or stop the buzzing if its factory.

 

The shift light comes on under light to moderate load to tell you when to shift for best fuel economy. This is not related to the buzzer.

The buzzer only comes on when you hit redline (7 or 8k RPM), have low oil, or have low coolant.

 

well the buzzer comes on when the light does and the light will be on even when my foot is in

 

First thing to do is check the oil and coolant levels, as well as bleed any air out of the coolant system. Acceleration will shift the fluids around.

 

they come on when i rev in nuetral.

 

i know its possible to remove the buzzer it involes takeing aprt the instument cluster... a friend of mine did while i was in jail...: dick : its four pins.. rite in the tach... when u take it out u gotta solder the holes in the circiut board or the tach wont work... never let another human being who does know rotorys... work on your car ever...

 

lol yeah there are not enough people that know bout 7s. A guy on base said if i want more power i should upgrade my cams and bore out my cylinders... lol.. any way thanx for the help guys

 

ya i was reving out at the quickie mart to the store clerk wen a guy can up and said its bad for the motor cause i could bend a valve when i told him there were no valves cams pistons... hes like wtf and walked away....
