Secondary turbo not kicking in

Hey guys I’ve been scouring through these forums for all of the problems my poor 94 has been having.

Lately, for the first 15 minutes of driving after the first start of the day the secondary turbo works and knocks me back in the seat but after that it stops working throughout the rest of the day. I haven’t found a thread that shares these symptoms with me.

I would really appreciate some help guys thank you all.

It’s been consistently happening for the past three days

although someone may not share your EXACT situation, your remedy is in the troubleshooting process. there are mountains of information on the sequential system and how it works. you will need to start testing parts and eliminating things one at a time. if your problem only happens when its hot then its likely a solenoid ceasing to function with temperature. you will need to test them one at a time and see which one(s) fail.

thank you it’s just that I’ve been bouncing around the forums and different things to check that I’m no longe sure as to where step one should be.

Today the second turbo worked for a few minutes throughout the afternoon and then stopped working the rest of the day.

how do you recommend I test out the solenoids ?

Thanks again

Thank you! I have this bookmarked from finding it before, but I have trouble navigating to find the proper manuals, I’ll give it another shot.

Okay I’ve looked through the manual but couldn’t find anything except for disassembly and reassembly of the turbo. I also couldn’t find anything regarding to the solenoid. Maybe I downloaded the wrong one
