Hey guys,

Have a friend that has an Rx7 S6 that is having issues with her secondary turbo.

On boost sometimes the secondary turbo will kick in and will be fine but then other times the secondary turbo wont kick in at all or build boost, just goes flat.

My rx7 is single turbo so dont have these issues. Any ideas guys?

Start by replacing all the check valves and make sure all vacuum lines are connected tightly.

 

When I 1st got my Fd, I had similar issues. If I did a roll in 2nd gear to check turbo transition, I would get 10-8-5. The secondary didn't seem to kick in. What was weird was if the rpms were already over 4,500 and I floored it, it would get the full 10psi. After checking some things, I found that my upper coupling to the turbo Y-pipe was loose. After tightening that up, I never had secondary issues.
