Scrapping my 12A need help with a swap

I want to swap in a 13b
I can handle hooking it up to the transmission but what do I have to know to make the electrics convertible
With the intake and everything else
If you could help me with some links
Or just tell me what sort of questions I need to be asking Google
I have no clue so at this point anything will help

it all depends on what you want to do, do you want the 13b to be fuel injected, or carb'd? this will ultimately tell us which way to help you

welcome to the board.

- mounting bracket (RB, GSL-SE or custom)
- front cover* (GSL-SE)
- oil pan (GSL-SE)

- you will then need to get the exhaust sorted in a way of your choosing
- intake/fuel (you will have to decide if you want EFI or carburetor)

EFI will require some knowledge of wiring and circuits, but should be worth the effort. on the other hand a carburetor can provide comfort, if that's your thing. it's no longer a matter of cost, so it's going to come down to what you or the person building the car is comfortable with.

* means it's not absolutely necessary, but a good idea. the 12A and 13B have different contours for the front of the oil pan.

I'd honestly say carb just because it seems simpler to learn first. Is that the case?
I'm not looking for crazy power i just want to get the car running and on the road

Although I might have trouble now
Not 20 minutes after I posted my original question I got a layoff notice at work so who knows what I can afford untill im employed again

Well I'm definitely interested in learning.
I was talking to a guy at work
He said not to mix and match
If I get a new engine I should replace the wiring harness and the cpu with one that would Usually accompany the new engine
Is he right? Anything you can add or elaborate on ?

i have no idea what the guy at your former job is talking about, so i'm not touching that. i have no context in which to comment.

does this mean you would want EFI now? if so, then you can go about it by either wiring in a Gen II Rx-7 ECU and harness or go with something aftermarket. at this point in time, i'm tempted to say aftermarket is easier and better, but i suppose it's arguable. that is, of course, my opinion. also, i am deliberately not even mentioning the ECU from the GSL-SE because i view that to be a monumental waste of time unless one is restoring an actual GSL-SE, which you clearly are not.
