Rx7 died while driving, won’t start back up.
As I stated above my car died while I was driving. It won’t start now, no readings from the tachometer. I can smell fuel while it’s cranking though. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You’re in Hawaii. It’s really hard to “channel” your car from where I live.
What year car? Mods? What were you doing when it died...accelerating, deaccelerating, parked idling etc? What have YOU done to diagnose the issue?

Well, it'd be a great help if you actually told us which generation of RX-7 you have, so that we can figure out which engine it has etc.
What were the conditions in which it died? How long have you been driving it, which procedures you have followed and ultimately has it flooded?
How was it running before you went out for this drive?

Sorry, it’s a stock 87 turbo. I already changed the spark plugs. I tried switching the trailing coil yesterday and still nothing. I checked the engine fuse and the egi fuse and there still good. Everything in the car still works just won’t start. I let the car warm up for about 5 minutes, then I was driving about 200m from my house going about 25mph and everything just shut off and the car wouldn’t start. I also tried to unflood the car yesterday as well and still nothing.

You need fuel, compression, timing and spark for the car to start and run. Sounds like fuel isn’t the issue. And you usually don’t have catastrophic loss of compression under those driving conditions and as you’ve described. So it sounds like an ignition issue to me. I’m just not that familiar with an S4 system. Have you checked to see if you’ve got good spark at the plugs? Ignition switch?

You can pull the LEADING (lower) plugs one at a time , reattach the the plug wire and ground the side of the plug on the block while someone cranks the engine over. Being sure to stay insulated from the plug. Watch for a good sharp blue/yellow spark pulse. Or this....
Sounds like the engine is also now flooded.
