Is there a reason you think you need to over-rev an '86 NA engine? The manifold alone will not allow you to make any real power beyond 7k RPM (redline), and you will eventually ruin a stock engine if you continually rev much past that point. Peak horsepower for an S4 NA engine is at about 6.5k RPM anyway. You're better off shifting.
