Rookie trying to diagnose

Hi! I got my '93 FD (54K miles) a couple days but I have no info on what it's been through to this point. I'm fully aware there will be several issues that need to be addressed and I look forward to troubleshooting each one but I wanted to get your guys' first impression on the following if possible: When I got the car, I noticed the cooling fan fuse was not connected. I connected it and the cooling fan turns on just fine but it doesn't turn off. Even with the engine not having run for hours it'll kick on and stay on seemingly forever. I think now that the dealer probably removed the fuse on purpose so the fan didn't fully drain the battery. Thoughts??

The first thing I would do is test the relay with a relay tester or swap with a known good relay. A sticking relay can cause components to remain on.
