Quite possible I', mildly retarded.. help please

Alright.. Swapping an S5 TII into an na S4. Having a meltdown. Tried to use the FAQ here, searched forums, all I can Find is someone else asking what I need to know, and them getting a "seach the forums" answer. Plans now, are swap front covers ( unless someone knows how to externally drive the oiler) and use my s4 ECU and harness, with the S5 sensers. Electrical is no problem, as far as repinning, and splicing are concerned. But, need knowledge to know how to do this. I have a FSM for my '87, but not for the '91. I have a safc, and patience to use stock boost before I choose a stand alone set up. Please help me, or send me on the path that would. Thank you for your time..
Glenn

One more thing.. S4 to S5 T2

I have a s5 T2 engine, wold it just be better to swap the components onto my block? found out the donor car was running a n/a ecu.. Is this possibl with increased boost? 12 psi is the plan for now. Would a six port make more power than a four port? Pro's and con's please. Thanks again

You can NOT use S5 sensors with an S4 ECU. Output values are different and there are situations such as the S5 TPS having both a full and narrow range output, where the S4 only has one. If you're going to partially convert the engine to S4, just take it the rest of the way and use S4 sensors (MAP, AFM, TPS, water temp).

This link covers taking that general route: http://www.rotaryresurrection.com/2n...o_s4_swap.html

Check the 2nd gen FAQ for detailed info on swapping within series, which is what you would essentially be doing once you correctly match up your wiring, ECU and sensors.

Again, check the 2nd gen FAQ. 6-port turbos have been built, but require much more to run then safely than an SAFC. A 6-port engine also is going to be choked by the stock turbo, which pretty much means no more peak power than a 4-port TII engine.

That link is insightful, but it doesn't look like my NA tb would work on that turbo intake manifold..

That link isn't related to 6-port turbo builds. It's information on converting an S5 engine for use as an S4. And no, you would not use an NA throttle body with TII intake manifolds since they're the reverse of each other. One could probably be taken apart and adapted, but it wouldn't be worth it IMO.

Why would you want to use an N/a Part on a TII Engine?
.the answer to your original question Is: Use the s5 Keg and Build the Thing as an S4 TII engine, sort of.
Use The s5 Turbo and Manifold(extra HP)
S4 front cover and OMP..s4 Throttle body
S4 Harness,and Injectors.(go N/A harness,it is Way easier than putting a TII Harness into an N/A Car).
and any other electricals, such as Temp sender etc.
Other wise you are looking at a Wiring Nightmare, and only IF you are a Freakin Wizard then you can Pull it off!
