Question Quiet exhuast?

i was just wondering if there is a good 3in exhaust that wont drive me crazy on long trips... i like the look of the HKS Hi-Power but i don't want to be heard coming from a mile away, is the HKS loud? suggestions? thanks in advance.

either stock, make a custom 3 inch with a **** load of presilencers, or blow your load and go RB :]

I have yet to find a 3in exhaust that isnt insanely loud especially on long trips (higher rpm) My buddy has an rx7 and a few other cars that he only uses hks on and yea, they are pretty loud, like Afishyseven said, install some presilencers if you you dont want to go deaf. ALSO, i had my buddy heatwrap his exhaust from the headers all the way to the back of the car and that halped deaden the sound in the car. you can get heat wrap from local tuner shops or maybe a link on here not sure, but i know nopi carried it last i looked. (BUT it will add a bit of weight to your ride)

I have a HKS Hi-Power Exaust, on my FD, and it is pretty loud. People have told me they hear the car from like a block away... But it looks nice and sounds nice... That's just my opinion.

I have a special fitting that i just swap out with a part of my pipe to make her sound more quiet. Its all custom made and it sounds like a hybrid.

haha im not sure if i want it hybrid quiet... though i am curious how you made the fitting is it like a slip-joint i would suspect that you have a lot of leak with a easily changeable part like that...

well thank you everyone for your help, i have decided after seeing and hearing a tanabe setup that is the direction i will go. Thanks again!

For the FD, the quietest, readily available exhaust is the Racing Beat coupled with a stock or high flow cat.

Both Greddy and HKS have a few different exhausts for the FD. Some loud. Some quiet. Check out some of your options here:
