UHH it's a rotary! Not so many moving parts and those things...that bend really easy when you run out of RPM's or that damn belt breaks! Go with the 13B-RE...BIG power, that's what I have in my car.

I don't know where to begin.
"Top of the line" depends on what year of RX-7 you are referring to. For you '87, the top of the line option was the 13B-T. It is a 4 port 13B with a Hitachi HT-18 turbo that puts out 180 HP at around 5.5 PSI. With a few basic mods and some more boost you can get 250HP out of it fairly easily.

b16a= 160
na 13b= 146
turbo 13b= 180
realize that no matter how fast you are there is someone always faster than you.
h23 civic hatchbacks have been known to outrun vipers just on motor alone.

Yea then he came back today and goes...it has a lil bit of a flat spot. I kinda laughed in my head to myself, and thought, well my rotary doesn't! lol So I told him he needed to adjust the timing.

A guy I know has a 240 w/ that rb26 motor in it, and my car w/ the 13B-RE would hang with it, and he has a bunch of mods and mine had none at the time. So those don't impress me either...there is only one engine that impresses me. The rotary.
