Question before i buy this car

Hey guys i wanna ask a question. Im planning to buy, from a guy that is selling, an 88 s4 rx7 with an S5 motor. The motor is said to have a street port but the water and oil seals are blown and need to be replace with new ones. First of all will it be able to drive from his location to my location which is about 45 miles, and how much would it cost to have those seals replace by someone/shop in socal around the OC and LA area. Can you guys help me thanks.

if water and oil seals are shot/blown it is doubtful the car will run, and the motor will need rebuilding/replacement.

So would i need the whole thing rebuilt or just rebuilt to have those parts replace, and typically how much would it cost to have it repair professionally

Complete rebuild, plan on around $1700 to $2000 if you do the removal and replacement of the engine yourself.

Normally if a water seal goes on a housing, then the housing itself is going to be bad.

In LA/the OC, Mazdatrix and Racing Beat are going to be the best at rebuilding your motor right. Mazdatrix.com and Racingbeat.com.

Avoid using the "bargain" rebuilders and resurrectors, as they often will just build your motor the cheapest way possible, leaving you with a motor that might last a year, or less... usually just as long as their warranty period. With both Mazdatrix and Racing Beat, you will be getting some of the best guys available and a motor that will be reliable and solid. They generally don't re-use anything questionable.
