push button starter
had a question about using a toggle switch and push button...i have a 91 rx7 and install the toggle and push button...i put most of the wires to the toggle but it seems that im burning up the fuel pump...does anyone kno what wire they are so i can put them on a seperate toggle switch...or any better way to make it work properly..thanx
no...there r 2 wires that i dont kno what they r for...but lookin at the key switch ignition..it looks like they become hot together...so when i installed them to the toggle..it melted the wire....so then i connected them together seperately and then the car wouldnt start...i put the key switch back on and nutn...changed out the fuel pump and it fired up....and i burned up 2 feul pumps now...cuz its wrong...i need to kno the proper way to hook it up....????

oil pressure
whats the min. amount of oil pressure should u have running thru a turbocharger....and is 45 psi too much. im running that pressure now and getting oil out the back of the turbo?
I had a push button starter on my old car, the easiest way to do it is:
1. Go to pepboys or your local parts store and buy a horn button.
2. Run a 12 guage wire with an inline fuse from the battery to one terminal of the horn button.
3. Run a 12 guage wire from the other side of the terminal to the terminal on the starter solenoid.
4. put key in "on" position and push the button, be careful because this also bypasses your clutch safety switch.
Ill write a diy on it with pictures when I do this to my car.
