Prospective buyer's inspection checklist/guide?
I've no prior experience with the RX-7 or rotary engines, but am in the market as I've always wanted one (1st Gen). I'm looking for advice on how to evaluate the mechanical state of the cars I may be looking at. I reviewed Felix's FAQ, and there's a tremendous amount of great info there for a rotary owner...but I haven't found a good "buyer's guide" yet. Can someone point me to a useful thread or reference?

OK - thanks a bunch diabolical. That thread has a number of practical things to look for, based on real-world experience with 1st gens...exactly what I was looking for. I had heard about rust behind the storage bins, but there are several other nuggets in there. I'll make good use of this - I'm looking at an 83 GSL.
