Good day all - I'm looking into a 1st Gen to get eventually, and am looking outside CA for cars which I would bring back here if I purchase. Looking for insight into how hard I can expect it to be to get thru smog test, and what I can do to get the car to pass if I have trouble the first time. And, is there any way to be able to anticipate for a particular car whether it will have issues (assuming it is not a CA car, and has never had a smog test)? Is simple mileage on the car/engine a good predictor? That sort of thing. I'm looking at factory stock only - no modified cars.
