Since I have no idea what thread you're looking for, I'll post a link to some threads on the topic.

If you think about it though, common sense will go a long way. Here are most of the highlights. You want to make sure the engine is in good enough shape - meaning it will turn by hand through full revolutions, that ere is not only fresh oil in the sump, but that there is enough oil in the chambers themselves. You'' want to make sure ignition components are functioning and spec'd. You'll want to make sure there are no fuel leaks and that the injectors have been serviced. Flush the cooling system and refill it. Turn starter with the plugs disconnected, until you build oil pressure. Leak check again, then make an attempt to start it.

Wash with car wash, but if you have spots of mold or that moss/lichen or whatever, then I use Simple Green (I spray it directly on the offending areas, I don't put it in the wash bucket) and that is usually enough to remove them. You can then wait until it's dry and clay bar it if you want. Then apply wax. For interior, I remove the seats and clean the carpet with whatever commercial products I think will get the job done. Seats get cleaned appropriate for their material - cloth vs. leather. Everything else inside gets a damp, soapy cloth and something to dry with, then I use one of those less-greasy protectants. For glass, I watched a video a few months ago that suggested using those Mr. Clean pads and I bought a couple, but have not yet found the time to actually use them yet, so I don't know for sure.
