Exclamation Starting Car after 11 months of sitting...

Basically the title says it all. Im not really sure what precautions I should take. I had the car compression tested before I left for deployment and it was 110-105 on all faces of both rotors but its been sitting in a parking lot for 11 months. I read a few threads on the subject but didnt really get much advice from there. You guys got any suggestions?

squirt some wd-40 into the lower plugs holes (not much, just spray for a second or two)

and then fire it up after replacing the spark plugs.

if it runs poorly on start up but will hold an idle, just let it run for a few minutes... blip the throttle/etc now and then, keep the revs reasonable but a few revs may be necessary to free everything up.

Chances are though, it'll probably just fire right up and be fine. The gas is probably stale, hopefully it had none or nearly none in it, and if that's the case, put some fresh premium in it before trying to start it.

Unless the oil was fresh when you parked it, change the oil right away too. And check the coolant level before startup.

In addition to what Terrh said, I would charge up the battery and pull the fuel pump fuse under the dash. Turn it over for a while to lubricate all the apex seals by allowing the oil pump to run. Then put the fuse back in and start it. I do this everytime I start my car after winter storage for 7 months.
