Question Premix?

okay sorry if this is mad noobish, I've been reading through the forums and come across "premixing" oil quite a bit.. tried searching and cant find specifically what or how to do it. Am running a pretty much stock 92 FD apparently this is really effective at preventing carbon buildup? can someone help me out.. i don't want carbon buildup haha

Premix is not to reduce carbon buildup. Engines that have the oil metering system disabled (aftermarket computer needed) will run premix in the tank to allow lubrication of the seal surfaces. Premixing is just adding a specific amount of 2-stroke oil to the gas tank.

Just to add $.02:
Even with the OMP its still a good idea to add oil to the gas to assist in the lubrication, esp in a high HP car. Benefits have been very clearly documented (see Pettit Racing for more details), even with stock OMP present. Its just a security policy and will only extend the life of the engine.
Idemitsu (@RX7.com), Redline, Protek-R (@Pettit), all seem to make a good product, but any 2-stroke is better than nothing, hell even a bit of Castrol with a fillup if you are out of options. I wouldn't fillup without adding some oil to the tank.
