CA power crazy

Ive did everything to my car possible that I could've think of to get more Hp out of my rotary. But the problem is I've got a 1986 base model so, Im stuck with a S4 13B. Dont get me wrong I love the car. I'm tired of one my friend think my car is really slow "it's kinda but not entirely" and I wanted to dust him considering he drive a honda prelude type SH. I'm searching high and low for any possibility to get more power with out a turbo so I can put him in place and show him what a 13B n/a could really do So, I was wondering is there and suggestion what I could do or get? I've got a short ram, converted to single exuast (after market), platnuim NGK sparks plug, advance the timing a bit, soon about to get racing beat exuast. That's all I did for perfomance wise. Is there any other parts out there I could get that could increase my throttle response and horespower?

The naturally aspirated section of the forum will have many tips, but here are a few pointers:

1) Put the stock intake setup back. A "short ram" is a marketing gimmick that is doing nothing but pulling hot engine bay air into your engine. Translation: less power than stock. The stock system is not a restriction, and will actually pull cooler air from the outside. Colder air is more dense, which means more oxygen drawn into the engine, which means more power.

2) Return the CAS to the normal position. Advancing the timing by playing with the CAS is dangerous. You can end up blowing the engine doing that.

3) Porting the engine is the primary way to get more power out of it. A large streetport would make some good power, but obviously it will mean rebuilding the engine to do so.

4) Some sort of tuning capability & a wideband 02 sensor. A SAFC, an Rtek 2.0, or a full standalone EMS will allow some power gains through adjusting the mixture. The Rtek and standalones will also allow safe adjustment of the timing maps.

5) Converting to an S5 intake manifold will have a positive effect. This isn't a bolt-on modification, so some drilling/cutting/grinding is necessary. A writeup: http://homepage.mac.com/carldavis/intake.html.

I know about the CAS Ill already have set it back. The "short ram" does make any sense since I cant get cold air out but hot air.... I was thinking of building a box over it and do some piping to allow but cold air to get in? I was wondering is there any other option instead of converting it to street port?

Yes, you can make a box to seal it off from the engine bay. I use one with my turbo setup: https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/diy-cold-air-box-830116/. But if I were still NA, I would just use the stock box.
