Oil Injector cleaning question

Yet another question on oil injectors.

1986 RX7 GXL with 150k miles.

Applying all tests to the vac hose nipple as per page 2-6 of the S4 FSM (and no, I will NOT put my lips on them as the picture shows!!!).

Rotor injectors: Hold no vacuum, and flow compressed air at a reduced rate. Both front and rear appear to be equally bad.

Rear Intake Injector: Holds no vacuum. Flows compressed air ok.

Front Intake Injector: Holds 25psi, bleeds down to 21psi after 1 minute. Flows Compressed air ok. I figure this one is alright.

I then attempted to clean them with carb cleaner, as had been mentioned on this board.

No effect on rotor injectors

Rear intake injector: holds 25psi, bleeds down to about 0psi after 1 minute. Flows compressed air ok. This one improved and might be usable.

My questions:
At this point, I am starting to assume that my 150,000 mile rotor housing oil injectors probably need to just be changed as per the FSM on page 2-6, if not all 4. Does anyone have any suggestions for cleaning these? I was suggested to soak them in Marvel Mystery Oil, and trying again. Does anyone have thoughts on this?

Also, does anyone know of a spec on how good these work? The FSM only mentions "check that air passes in only one direction"

Wuss, I always use my lips.

The check ball is just there to prevent the engine from blowing air back into the lines. As long as the check valve works, then the injector is probably fine. There is no sense worrying about leakdown tests or how much pressure it takes to crack them.

However, if yours are stiff and leaky (that's what she said!) then a good 24 hour soak in carb cleaner will free them up. Then air blown through every passage and it should be good to go.

Sorry for the delayed response. I managed to get the intake injectors more or less working, but the housing injectors are pretty hosed. They do flow the right way better, but they still flow the wrong way freely. I am just going to follow the FSM and replace them. I now have them on order.

Thanks for the advice and your time.
